- 40 YSD. Wars of Fire: The First Great Demon Incursion
The
great wizard Sar-Elam, know as the ‘Seventh Dragon’, sacrifices himself
to end the Wars and repel the demon incursion. Sar-Elam and his disciples
seal the demons away to prevent their return. Most of the Angels perish
during these wars. The survivors take refuge in the Falcon Empire, which
is increasingly turned away from the Dragon of Air - Sylath, and toward
the Dragon of Light. Until the Wars of Fire, little is known of the elves.
It was they, however, who first summoned forth the other races to do battle
against the demon armies, and many of the great generals of that war were
elves. It is the elves who held the line against the last demon assault
as the Seventh Dragon prepared his final spell, not that men remember
this now.

YSD : Diary of The Licorne Battleship
It is now eight years since the war against Devils was engaged. As for
us, we were sent as reinforcement two months ago: 4 Sylvan ships along
with 5 ships of Men. And yet, we are still sailing on this terrible sea,
as rough as the Devils we were sent to destroy.

YSD: Diary of The Licorne Battleship
As far as my astrological science allows me to tell, we just entered a
new year last night, but their really is no sign of anything changing
or moving around here. The sea is as quiet as a lake, and we still cannot
hear anything from the first lines of the battle. This calm is too depressing
for our troops, however… Wait a minute; the ship is dangerously pitching…
A storm just came upon us. I have to…

YSD: Diary of the castaways
I do not know what miracle allowed me to survive, when so many of us
perish. We brought so many corpses on the beach of this island which
is now our refuge… Even my diary came back to me on this island. How
is that possible? This storm came upon us as quickly as a shadow, and
it was so rough that it destroyed all our ships. Out of thousands of
Men and Elves who were on the ships, only a few hundreds survived. So
many dead while we were on the verge of fighting in the name of our
Gods, how is that possible? Did our Gods abandon us? Were we doomed?
I am not ready to accept that…

YSD : Diary of the People of Elamon
Six
months ago, we met this strange entity from the sea on the eastern beach
of the island, who called himself Elamon. It seemed that he was waiting
for us and that he knew what happened to us. He told us our Gods had betrayed
us, considering us like puppets they could simply play with. Hearing this,
some of us, among the most pious, called to blasphemy. But after a few
months, considering all the corpses we'd seen, and all the people going
mad around us, even trying to leave the island swimming, we decided to
go back to Elamon. He told us that if we decided to venerate him as our
new God, he would provide us with food and make us strong enough to avenge
us from the Gods that had abandoned us.
We
are now the People of Elamon.

YSD: Diary of the People of Elamon
My
life is now coming to an end; even Elves have to pass away someday.
I do not know if someone will go on narrating the story of our people,
but before I go, I still have to relate this strange discovery I made
the other day in a grotto near the "Tooth Rock". It consists of ancient
runes about Elamon and some Primordial Dragons. At least that is what
my old eyes could see in this obscurity. I hope someday someone will
find out the meaning of those runes.

YSD: Diary of the People of Elamon
My
name is Ebraïm and I have just discovered this old Diary which is apparently
more than a thousand years old. I couldn't believe what I saw when I discovered
a grotto exactly were described in the diary. I pray our almighty God
Elamon will help me translate those runes. (…) Our Soldiers are now powerful
enough to eliminate those fake Gods; at last, our ancestors will be avenged.

YSD: Diary of the People of Elamon
I
just couldn't believe it; I read it and read it again five times, but
the runes were not lying. Apparently, they were in fact ancient drawings
painted by an Elf (those legendary creatures who evolved along with Men
into our civilization to adapt themselves to an aquatic life). And this
Elf was in fact Elamon! He explains on these walls that he was banned
from his Kingdom for helping the Chaos Dragon. He was cursed and become
a hideous monster captive on this island. But some elvish powers remained
in him, and so he foresaw in a dream the arrival of many ships of Elves
and Men near his island. And so he wrote down: "I will sink their ships,
I will slave them all to build an army and then I will take my revenge
upon the Primordial Dragons".

YSD: Diary of the Free People of the Ocean – Okeanos
I have shown those runes to our forefathers back at the village. Angered
by what they've read, they have called in the fiercest warriors among
our people to go and destroy Elamon. The so-called God died in awful pain,
imploring us for mercy; a mercy he did not get. The Ancient Gods of our
Forefathers had betrayed them before, and now our Savior betrayed us too?
This is too much pain for our hearts. Everything is clearer now; we shall
never again tolerate any God among us. Allied with the people of the sea,
our army is strong enough. Together we shall rise to free all people who
have fallen under the dominion of a God. Dragon's God beware! We take
this pledge today to eliminate every culte you'd founded .
