Hello and thank you for your time. I have a suggestion for Heroes 4 and another for HOMM II.

First let me start with the best, HOMM II. With the popularity and capability of PALM or handheld computers, is anyone developing a handheld version of Heroes II. It would be a way of capitalizing on the new and growing market of handhelds without alot of expense in developing a game. It shouldn't be that difficult and would have a strong financial payoff. The new color screens, memory and computing power are enought to handle HOMM II.

The map editor for Heroes 4 should be able to generate random maps like HOMM II. This rendom map generation was one of the reasons HOMM II was so popular to the consumer. We also need enormous maps. If we are going to spend several hours or days playing this amazing game make it larger. And don't waste space when you have large amounts of water in the map, allow there to be cities "Atlantis" or bubble domes under the water and only certain types of heroes have the natural ability to live in water, while other heroes have the ability to live in and out of water, and of course some that can only live on land, but an artifact can be obtained that gives a hero with a particular natural limitation the ability to over come it such as a Knight who is naturaly only able to live on land, would need this artifact to live and fight under water.

Thank you again for your time.

Hello.

First I want to tell you that I like your site and what you are dooing is great. Now some sugestions for HOMM4.

1.I would like to see some point-men(scouts). Marksmen should do the job, or any other creature depends on the player's wish.

2.Add more towns(castles), make like 15 of them, thus the players won't get borred. 3.Make more upgrades and they shouldn't look the same.

Hello, my name is Jonas Hellström and I'm from Sweden. I have some suggestions for Heroes 4.

1. Much more towns, and much more Creatures. Some creatures should also only exist in dwellings, just like the elemental creatures in the original Heroes 3.

2. The alignment of the creatures should matter more. If you ever played Kings Bounty you know what I mean. i.e if your army's majority concisted of good creatures and you had one unit that was evil, his moral should decrease and after a while he should leave your army. You should also be able to check the status of your army, like in Kings Bounty.

Thats all I have to say for now.

I've been reading through some of the other suggestions, and I'm amazed at what some people think will improve the game. We all have our own opinions etc, but some people feel so strongly about these things. I have a couple of thoughts that have been stewing around in my head for a while, and hopefully I won't come off quite like some of the others. Please note, these are in no distinct order, I'm just firing them out as I think of them, so if it jumps all over the place, that's why....

I admit I have to agree with one thing though, that alot of people have been saying. A button in the creature purchasing screen within the town that would allow you to purchase all creatures if you have the resources available. It would be quite useful at later stages in the game, and if you didn't have the resources, it would become inactive, or not appear.

I have noticed in one of the later patches of Armageddon's Blade, that when you find a tavern outside your town, the heroes within are now the same as those within the town. I personally thought if you wanted those particular heroes, you would be better off buying them within your town where they can get the benefits of the mage guild, the stables, or buildings like the hall of valhalla. I never go to taverns any more because of this. But if there an opportunity to gain a different hero from the tavern, then I would go to the trouble of visiting one.

When you build the grail structure in, for example, a castle town, and the expected benefit is that the colossus will along with all the standard grail properties, (gold, creature generation, etc) that it will increase the morale of all allied heroes by +2. I think that's great, It would be even greater if it did work for ALL allied heroes. Including the ones that are owned by an allied player, not just your own.

Somebody else mentioned that they would like to use the one CD in order to play LAN games with up to 3 other friends. And this did used to work for the original Heroes 3, but when I purchased the expansion, the option is no longer available, unless I play the original during the LAN.

Everybody disses on the old Eagle Eye skill, and I admit, I've never found it very useful myself, although the concept of the skill is fantastic! An enemy casts a spell on one of your units, and you learn the spell, just through observation! I'm not sure why this skill is so maligned. perhaps an increase in the starting ability of this spell, when I have had it on occasion (admittedly only because I needed a hero and I got one with it) I found it very rarely seemed to work. I had also thought that perhaps if you could learn the spell on the fly it might appear more useful. An enemy might throw a lightning bolt at you, and you learn it then straight away, you can be firing the lightning straight back at him. Understandably though, that thought may pose more programming problems then it's worth.

Since everybody else is on the new town band wagon, I just thought of one about 3 seconds ago. I was considering that once you're on the water, there's not that much to do except collect resources, and attack shipwrecks. There's buoys, mermaids and sirens, but there's nothing like the diversity on land for additional structures. And why not have a water town? Not under water, I don't feel that X-Large maps would really require that a 3rd level be added!! My god, that would take an entire week of constant playing just to finish! So, obviously the town would be approachable only by ship, But... maybe the hero associated with the town could cross water without aid of a ship. As if they had waterwalk on constantly. But there would be a whole native terrain issue where he could only use this ability with units from that town, and ONLY from that town. But obviously, that may become too unbalanced, and it would be better to make all heroes travel by ship. I'm sure also, that this would have some conflicting issues with town placement and random towns chosen at the beginning of the game, since all other towns can't be built on the water, and that town would probably be restricted to being only built ON the water.

Something that might allow for more interesting map editing. If you could create a hero with your own picture. Oh, wow, you know what would be cool? If you even had a downloadable section on the 3DO website where say once a month, you release a new hero, which we could download and use in our games. And people could obviously create other heroes and allow people to download them from their websites, or just the pictures to be used in the creation. Since when you create a map, you can edit every other attribute the hero has, it would also be cool to change their picture. Just a cosmetic change, truth be told, but one that would add significantly to the creation of some maps.

When playing multi player, things can become a little boring while waiting for the other player to finish their go, (It's not so bad for me, because whoever I play with is sitting right next to me, and I can watch what they're doing) I thought it might be nice if you were able to see when the computer player attacks the player, or the other way around (Providing you were allied, of course. It would be no good for you to be able to see all your enemy's exact unit numbers during the fight so you could then go attack them.... unless it only gave you the pack-lots-throng-etc description that you receive when you view an enemy hero or town.) But it would be more interesting to watch, and also allow you to see why the person's turn is taking 10 minutes...

I personally thought that when all the furor went around about the forge town, that it would have been a great idea, and I was looking forward to it. Not that I don't like the conflux town, I think it's great (Just like I would probably love any town you guys came up with) But you put all that work into the forge town, why not release it as an expansion pack, knowing full well that some people won't play it, but so what each to their own. I know you have to look after your profit margins, but I've read a lot of posts from people who thought it would be a great idea. Or, if you can't manage to box it up and bring it out as an expansion, why not release it as an optional download, then those who want it can, and those who don't well, they don't need to get it. But rather than having all the work and ideas go to waste, why not do something with it?

OK, now I'm done. Hopefully I didn't come off too preachy or annoying, and mayhaps something may even come of this.

Thanks for listening/reading.....

Desi
